Who is me?

Growing up in Rhode Island, I was constantly surrounded by the sprawling coastlines, the rhythm of the waves, and the salty breeze that whispered secrets of creativity. The soft hues of sunrise over the ocean painted a backdrop for my imagination, and each beach walk was a pilgrimage of inspiration. The cobblestone streets of Newport, with their quirky architecture and rich history, added character to my childhood, nurturing a sense of artistry that was as eclectic as the beach umbrellas dotting the shoreline.

Then there was Boston—oh, glorious Boston! A bustling cauldron of classic and contemporary culture, this city became my artistic classroom. I wandered through galleries, soaking up the brilliance of bygone masters while simultaneously witnessing the raw energy of up-and-coming artists pushing boundaries and expectations. Each exhibition was a delightful mash-up of tradition and innovation, forever enthralling my senses and expanding my creative palette.

When I journeyed to California, I thought I would leave behind the coastal charms of my youth, but instead, I found those influences blossoming anew. The vibrant colors of the West Coast—golden sunsets melting into the Pacific, wildflowers doing their dance in the breeze—reflected and refracted in my art. California’s diverse landscapes and the laid-back lifestyle of its inhabitants melded with my coastal upbringing and city experiences to create a unique artistic voice.

These regions have shaped not just the themes in my work, but the essence of my creativity. The quirky mix of Rhode Island’s coastal charm, Boston’s artistic fervor, and California’s vivid landscapes have all infused my art with a spirited whimsy that invites others to see the world through my kaleidoscope. Each brushstroke, a little whisper of home, crafting stories of place, transformation, and the beautiful messiness of growing up.
